Are you a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy creating positive experiences for customers while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We’re looking for a Casual Customer Service Team Member who can provide outstanding service at both Napier Aquatic Centre and Bay Skate, supporting each facility as needed.
This is a dynamic, varied role that allows you to gain experience in two exciting community spaces while using the same streamlined point-of-sale system across both locations. If you love engaging with people and enjoy an active workplace, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of two unique teams!
Te Āheinga - The Opportunity
- Welcome visitors, handle enquiries, and provide expert knowledge about pool and skate facilities.
- Process payments, bookings, and retail sales with accuracy and efficiency using the same point-of-sale system across both sites
- Engage with customers, ensuring an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and operational tasks as required

- Experience in a customer service role
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Confidence handling transactions and managing bookings
- Enthusiasm for creating enjoyable experiences for visitors of all ages
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and school holidays

This is a casual opportunity, working on an as-needed basis and flexibly across both sites. We’ll give you the opportunity to jump in and fill gaps in rosters giving you the chance to work around your schedule and gain experience in two dynamic environments —no two days are ever the same!
We are offering $26-$29 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
We will be interviewing applications as we receive them and may close the role when we have found the right person.
