Do you have experience working with museum collections and museum storage or relocation projects? MTG Hawke’s Bay is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic team player on casual basis for a Collection Assistant Relocation role. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to be part of the team relocating the museum collection to the new purpose-built storage and research centre in Hastings.
As a Collection Assistant Relocation - Casual, you will be called on to cover relocation team absences or where more staff are required for more complex relocation days. You will ensure the timely and safe relocation and location tracking of the Hawke’s Bay Museums Trust (HBMT) collection from the current premises to the new storage facility in Hastings.

- Rare and exciting opportunity to be part of a significant collection relocation and gain knowledge and experience moving collections and setting up a new store.
He kōrero mōhou - About You
- Post graduate diploma in Museum Studies or similar.
- Minimum 1-2 years relocation or museum collection handling experience.
- Good level of fitness and strength

This is a casual position offering work on an as-needed basis. You will be working across and between sites in Napier and Hastings.
Equivalent annual salary of $61,073-$71,851 depending on skills and experience.
