We're on the lookout for a full-time Supervisor Fish & Aquatic Life Support to lead our passionate team of Diver/Aquarists.
In this vital role, you’ll take the helm in caring for our diverse collection of fish and reptiles—ensuring their health, safety, and daily care are second to none. You’ll also guide the team to maintain excellence in animal welfare, health and safety practices, exhibit maintenance, and operational standards.

Te Āheinga - The Opportunity
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring the maintenance of displays, equipment, and technical systems.
- Ensure positive animal welfare is supported through attention to nutritional, environmental, health and behavioural requirements of animals in care.
- Ensure all relevant displays are presented to a high standard.
- Maintain records, update SOPs, and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
- Participate in daily diving activities for animal care and exhibit maintenance.
He kōrero mōhou - About You
- Relevant qualification in captive animal management / marine biology / applied science, similar field, or equivalent industry experience
- Able to work flexible hours and days in a busy 7-day a week tourism operation (40 hours per week Mon-Sun on a roster basis)
- Diving certification to a minimum of rescue level.
- Ability to maintain medical clearance for occupational diving.
- Experience working with freshwater and marine fish, invertebrates, and reptiles in human care and understanding of related technical systems.
- Previous experience in staff leadership.
- Strong customer service orientation.

This is a permanent full time opportunity working 40 hours per week, on a rostered basis.
