As a Venues Assistant, you’ll play a key role behind the scenes—making sure everything runs smoothly, looks great, and creates a seamless experience for our visitors and event clients. He kōrero mōhou - About You
- Experience in venue or event setup, cleaning, or facilities work, with a strong focus on quality and presentation.
- Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to completing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintains a calm, professional manner and delivers high standards of service in a customer-focused environment.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings, early mornings, and weekends to support event operations.

This is a permanent role working full time on a rotating roster basis, including weekends and public holidays. You will be based at the War Memorial Centre on Napier’s Marine Parade.
The hourly rate for this role is $24.43-$28.74 (including Kiwisaver), with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
