Te Āheinga - The Opportunity
This newly created role sits at the heart of our Water Services directorate, supporting the delivery of high-quality, strategically aligned capital projects. You’ll lead performance monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance across the programme — ensuring our work is timely, cost-effective, and built to last.
Working closely with Portfolio Leads and the Manager Capital Delivery, you’ll bring data-driven insights, robust frameworks, and a collaborative spirit to every stage of the project lifecycle. From dashboards to audits, your work will inform decisions, elevate transparency, and drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor delivery against time, cost, quality, and risk metrics, ensuring early intervention and alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop tools and processes that uphold delivery standards and enable teams to self-assess, learn, and improve.
- Provide timely, accurate insights to governance bodies and stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and transparency.
Facilitate lessons-learned activities and trend analysis to strengthen future planning and delivery outcomes.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or similar
- 5–7 years’ experience in programme controls, performance, or QA within infrastructure or capital works
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in tools like MS Project, Power BI, or Primavera
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Hours/ Days/ Location/Rem
This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday) based in Napier. Annual remuneration ranges from $104,000 to $116,000 (including KiwiSaver), depending on skills and experience.
