Napier Aquatic Centre is on the look-out for the next generation of dynamic and dedicated individuals to join our Swim Instructor team in facilitating our QSS accredited Learn to Swim programme. 

As a Swim Instructor at Napier Aquatic Centre, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping confident swimmers and ensuring water safety for generations to come. Delivering lessons to a range of different learner groups, from babies (5mths – 3yrs) through to pre-schoolers (3yrs – 5yrs) and school aged children within a group structure; your expertise will empower others to embrace the water and conquer their aquatic goals.

While applications from those with AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or SNZ STA are welcomed, what's really important here is your passion for water confidence and your desire to instil the same in others. 

Full training and support, including your certification, will be provided.

You will need:

• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with swimmers of all ages.
• Passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to helping others achieve their aquatic goals.
• A dynamic, warm friendly and confident personality and ability to project a strong customer service focus.
• Excellent time management

Please note - this is a permanent, part time position working a minimum of 21 hours per week, available between 9:30am and 6:30pm Mon - Sun, term time only. We have various shift patterns available and can be flexible for the right person.
