Educator
Inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection through learning. Join MTG Hawke’s Bay and bring our collections, stories, and exhibitions to life for young people across the region.
This is a rewarding opportunity to design and deliver innovative education programmes that make a real difference to how students experience learning beyond the classroom. As an Educator at MTG Hawke’s Bay, you’ll develop and deliver curriculum-aligned programmes that support the New Zealand Curriculum, deepen student engagement, and enhance learning outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi aged 5–18.
Working closely with the Visitor Engagement Manager, curators, educators, and external partners, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of MTG’s education offering — from school visits and outreach programmes to holiday programmes, tours, and special learning initiatives. Your work will connect students directly with primary resources, local histories, and cultural narratives, helping them engage meaningfully with the region and its stories.
This is a permanent, part-time opportunity working 32 hours per week.
