Chief Executive Officer - Hawke's Bay Water Services CCO
Take the reins of a new organisation and lead the transformation of regional water services
Hawke’s Bay Water Services CCO is seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the creation and delivery of water services across the region. This 24-month fixed-term role will oversee the setup and transition to a Water Services Council Controlled Organisation (WSCCO), responsible for delivering drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services throughout Hawke’s Bay.
As Establishment CEO, you will manage the initial scoping, planning, and implementation phases, working closely with Hawke’s Bay Councils to ensure the organisation is fully operational by July 2027. You will report directly to the Chair of the Establishment Board.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the establishment and growth of the WSCCO. You will be responsible for shaping the organisation from inception, defining its strategy, operating model, culture, and governance frameworks. Your leadership will ensure the WSCCO is ready to deliver safe, sustainable, and efficient water services for the region.

You will also be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, providing clear objectives, coaching, and mentorship to enable your team’s success. Experience in infrastructure delivery or water services is highly desirable.
