Assets Coordinator - Kennedy Park
From day-to-day maintenance to big-picture planning, shape the way our resort operates
Kennedy Park Resort is one of Napier’s busiest and most popular visitor destinations, welcoming thousands of guests every year. To keep the resort running smoothly and safely, our facilities and assets need to be maintained to the highest standard. As Assets Coordinator, you’ll lead the planning, delivery, and coordination of all maintenance and asset management activities across the resort — from buildings and amenities to roads, grounds, and equipment.
This role combines hands-on technical knowledge with strong leadership, ensuring day-to-day operations run seamlessly while also planning for the long-term care of our assets. You’ll work closely with staff, contractors, and Council specialists to make sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

- Lead the day-to-day maintenance and long-term asset planning for one of Napier’s busiest visitor destinations.
- Balance hands-on problem solving with strategic planning and project coordination.

- Work closely with contractors, Council teams, and suppliers to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the smooth running and strong reputation of Kennedy Park Resort, ensuring guests enjoy a safe and welcoming environment.
- Grow your leadership and asset management expertise within a supportive Council environment.
He kōrero mōhou - About You
- 5–6 years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities, or asset management.
- Supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to roster, coach, and support a team.
- Working knowledge of trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing) and building compliance requirements.
- Confidence managing contractors, maintenance budgets, and reporting processes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong customer service and relationship skills.
- Physical capability for hands-on maintenance when required, with a safety-first mindset.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 40 hours per week on a rolling seven day roster. Some weekend work will be required. You will be based at Kennedy Park Resort in Napier.
The annual salary package for this role is $79,000-$93,000 (including KiwiSaver), with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
