Te Āheinga - The Opportunity
- Lead by example in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public toilet facilities across Napier.
- Support and guide your team to deliver high-quality cleaning services and follow health and safety protocols.
- Monitor facilities, report issues promptly, and help implement improvements to enhance service standards.
- Contribute to a positive team culture, promoting professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Interact courteously with the public and stakeholders, representing the Council positively.
He kōrero mōhou - About You
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Experienced in commercial or public facility cleaning, with a strong eye for detail and consistency.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills, able to follow instructions, complete logs, and work collaboratively with a team.
- Holds a current driver’s licence and confident navigating multiple sites across the city.
- Honest, respectful, proactive, and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and support team development.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 42.5 hours per week. You will work Tuesday-Saturday. You will be based out of our operational site in Onekawa, but work across public facilities in Napier and Taradale.
This role pays between $28.96-$31.42 per hour, with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
