Environmental Health Officer

Full time permanent position working 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused environmental health officer with a strong understanding of legislation to join our Regulatory Solutions Team.

You will be providing effective communication, monitoring, auditing, and investigative support, ensuring the smooth running of our regulatory compliance programme.

This is a role that sits in a fast-paced environment and has a strong customer focus, which will allow you to be part of our hardworking and supportive team. Our team strives to provide the best quality service possible to our customers. With a "can do" attitude there is real progression opportunities within the team and wider Napier Council.

What you'll bring to the role

To be successful in this role you will bring outstanding customer service and a sound understanding of the Food Act 2014 and Health Act 1956. Your excellent communication skills, proactive and solution-based nature will help you excel in this customer focused role. Having a good interpretation of legislation and previous environmental health experience would make your application stand out.
