We are looking for that 'someone' who has the experience in infrastructure procurement and is able to consider the existing ways we procure, and help drive our procurement practices forward. This exciting fixed term role will work closely with the Procurement Lead, to lead and support improvement opportunities within the procurement space.
You will be a dynamic problem solver with a proven background in procurement, in particular identifying and delivering sustainable and efficient cost savings across a wide range of business units, and negotiating terms of contracts while managing stakeholder expectations at the same time.
We're looking for proven experience within the infrastructure industry, ideally in either 3 Waters or Civil Engineering, and experience within a local government environment would be an advantage.
Key requirements for the role:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Procurement / supply chain knowledge and a high level of commercial awareness
- Experience of using the NZS3910:2013 suite of contracts (preferred)
