Business Analyst (Finance)
Permanent full-time working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Our busy Finance Team have a vacancy for a suitably experienced Business Analyst to provide in-depth data analysis and reporting and to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and internal controls.
As the Business Analyst, you will actively engage with all business units within the council to evaluate business process controls and recommend practical solutions to mitigate identified risks. You will lead the internal audit programme and implement recommendations of the internal audit and monitor completion of these to achieve control objectives. You will also assist with Annual Plan, Annual Report and Long Term Plan process.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- An Accounting or Commerce Degree or equivalent
- To be CA qualified or working towards this
- Significant (5+ years) experience in a Senior Audit and/or Accounting position
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting
In addition, you will have advanced Microsoft word, excel and financial system skills as well as strong analytical skills. Experience in internal audit and working in Local Government roles would be an advantage.
