Fixed term position until June 2021, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Napier is a lively and vibrant city, offering an exceptional climate as well as plentiful opportunities for family, recreation and relaxation. Improved road and air links are helping to make Napier one of New Zealand's most popular, liveable and easily accessible cities.

Napier City Council is one of Napier's biggest and most desirable employers - we value excellence, integrity, sustainability and outstanding customer and community service.

As Napier City Council moves to digitising their property files, a fixed term position for a Digitisation Assistant has arisen within our busy Records Management team to assist with the project.

This position involves:

  • Physical sorting and preparation of Property Files
  • Accurate scanning of Property Files and other documents
  • Indexing and naming of digitised documents
  • Quality assurance check and reporting of any issues

The ideal candidate will have experience with scanning software and a familiarity with Council property files would be advantageous. You will also have strong time management skills, the ability to work unsupervised and an eye for detail as accuracy will be a pivotal point of the operation.
