We are looking for a customer focused leader, who is passionate about delivering high quality and innovative customer experiences.
You will play an influential role in growing Napier City Council's reputation for responsive and seamless customer service to our community and visitors. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Customer Service Centre, engaging and motivating your team so they can deliver a great experience to our customers. You will also be responsible for further developing strategy, processes and systems to take our service to the next level. To do this you will need to form strong relationships with key organisational managers and external stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have proven experience in leading a high performing customer services team, ideally within a local government or public sector environment, or as part of a service oriented organisation and have significant experience implementing systems, policys and processes that support innovative and consistent customer service delivery.
You will have a customer friendly manner, good decision making, high quality oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential. The ability to inspire and develop a team is also critical for the role, as is a relevant tertiary qualification.
