Groundsperson, Kennedy Park Resort

Permanent position working 16 hours per week (Saturday and Sundays including school holidays).

Kennedy Park Resort is a Napier City Council owned and operated facility. It is set on 7.2 hectares of land. A pristine presentation of Kennedy Park's grounds, lawns and gardens plays a significant part in the guests' overall positive impression.

Kennedy Park is seeking a Groundsperson to maintain Kennedy Park's extensive grounds, including lawns, gardens and plantings, so that they are presented to a very high standard, in accordance with the maintenance schedule and specific standards set by the Kennedy Park Assets Coordinator, including turf and plant care.

To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience with general labouring and garden maintenance, including maintenance of lawns, trees and other plantings, and experience in using related machinery and tools.

You will have a general knowledge about turf maintenance and plants, and appropriate and safe use of related tools and equipment. Assisting with minor maintenance and with a variety of other operational tasks throughout the resort, will be as and when required.

You will need to have a passion for working outdoors regardless of the weather and getting your hands dirty. This active role enables you to work in a fun and stimulating environment, within beautiful surroundings and to mix and mingle with a wide variety of people.
