You will be part of the Corporate Services Directorate and will be responsible for leading robust and transparent governance at Napier City Council by providing day to day secretarial and advisory support to the Mayor, Councillors, and Senior Leadership Team; facilitating electoral processes, and coordinating responses to requests for official information.
To be considered for this role, you will need a university degree in a related field and/or equivalent level of demonstrated skills and experience.
It is important that you have excellent communication and report writing skills (with an eagle-eye for detail), experience of governance in local or central government, and an ability to effectively engage at different levels of the organisation as well as with external stakeholders.
